Major Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to water systems, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was lost their life in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Russian forces has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in providing protection systems and enforcing sanctions," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 missiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the city endured heavy assaults overnight. A minor died and multiple civilians were wounded.

The strikes succeed periods of air raids in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
